Max Sackett

Over the year in ceramics class I learned that ceramics is not merely a simple hobby, but
a true art form. I learned the many techniques of ceramics and I tried to perfect some of
them. I love to create new and exciting things and see my creations come to life. The
excitement of seeing something I have spent many hours creating glazing come out of the
fire just the way I want it is great. I try to use the new techniques that I leam in each new
piece I make. I predominately make new pieces by hand, and not on the wheel. I love to
make new sculptures or figures; Mr. Flickinger has been a great teacher and instructor for
this new medium of art that I use. Mr. Flickinger's cheerful disposition always brighten
up the day and make me want to come to ceramics class every day.
